Spring Villa Park encompasses 325 acres and offers recreational activities such as hiking and picnicking as well as numerous amenities including an RV campground, lodge, two championship disc golf courses, covered archery range with shooting tower, and three #D archery courses. Spring Villa Park is operated by the City of Opelika Parks and Recreation Department.
The centerpiece of the park is the Spring Villa Mansion, a 19th-century Greek Revival-style home built around 1850 by William Penn Yonge. The mansion and grounds are widely known for paranormal activity and is listed as one of Alabama’s most haunted areas.
Spring Villa Park features a campground with electrical, water and sewage hookups for 30 spaces as well as restrooms with shower facilities.
The Spring Villa Disc Golf Course includes two 18-hole championship disc golf courses. Both courses were designed by Kevin McCoy. The Spring Villa Disc Golf Courses is free and open to the public.
Located across the street from the Penn Yonge house is a lodge available for group rental. The interior of the lodge offers a front deck with picnic tables,central air and heat, a common room with tables and chairs, restrooms, a stove, a refrigerator and an ice machine. Adjacent to the lodge is a large shelter with restrooms.
